Botox for Wrinkles and Excessive Sweating
Botox Cosmetic Treatment
Are you noticing that you don't look as awake and alert as you did a few years ago? Are you starting to feel that way every time you look in the mirror, too? Botox has become the preferred non-surgical aesthetic treatment worldwide for use in correcting facial expression lines and creases. ABC Aesthetics offers both Botox and Xeomin to help refresh your tired complexion by lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
How Does Botox work?
Once injected into the treatment area, it relaxes the appropriate muscles, resulting in the reduction of unwanted wrinkles. This treatment prevents the wrinkles from producing deeper, and more pronounced. Over time, and with repeated sessions, the lines and wrinkles will become less severe as the muscles are trained to relax.
What to Expect During The Treatment
Your skin is first cleansed, then an anesthetic may be applied prior to treatment to reduce discomfort. A series of several tiny injections are then administered into the targeted muscle area. Dr. Cifelli uses very precise, controlled injection methods to ensure that your results look natural, and never over-done. Your treatment can last as little as 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Results begin to appear in 3 to 7 days with BOTOX and Xeomin, and will last between 3 to 4 months.
Excessive Sweating Treatment
Underarm stains can be embarrassing. If you've already dealt with the regular antiperspirants and medications, and realized that they aren't working well enough (or at all) Botox Hyperhidrosis treatments might be right for you. Give yourself the freedom to lift your arms up with a newfound courage. Relief is as easy as ABC!
How Does Botox Treat Hyperhidrosis?
Botox is a purified protein that blocks the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. By interrupting this chemical messenger, Botox prevents sweat production at the injection site. A single treatment of several injections is typically sufficient to reduce sweating for several months, but follow-up sessions are usually necessary to maintain results.
What to Expect During Treatment
A topical anesthetic may first be applied to reduce discomfort. Botox injections are then made in the skin near the sweat glands responsible for perspiration using a very fine needle. Treatment time may take anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. There is little to no downtime associated with Botox Hyperhidrosis treatments, and most patients are able to return to their normal routine immediately.
